Given that I see the last comment is 6 years ago, I'm going to hold out hope this might be seen and responded to.
I've had it happen now, for the 2nd time - saving the master file prior to re-boot, or in the latest instance, saving as someone from Microsoft on a remote connection started closing files while looking at my registry.
In haste, I entered the password with a typo. When it happened the first time, I had just started using, so I was able to start over. This time, it's over 6 months of records.
Is there any way to recover anything when data gets locked out because of a common occurrence like typo?
